Kranevo

Kranevo is situated along the coast of Black sea and is well known among the tourist of Bulgaria and abroad. The beautiful beaches and picturesque surroundings attract here a lot of visitors. In the past Kranevo was famous as childrens resort, because of the plenty of camps which was situated here. These days Kranevo has turned into a one of the most preferred and convenient places for family and youth rest and recreation. Kranevo offers wonderful combination of fresh air, crystal clear sea and beautiful beaches.

Near the Kranevo there war found remains of ancient fortress of Kranea and Gerania.
2 km north site of Kranevo is situated the beautiful resort of Albena. There is direct road which connect Kranevo and Albena, and cross the forest reservation of “ Balta”.

Village Ekrene – the old name of Kranevo - was found on the place of ancient Roman fortress. On the top of the hill western of the village was situated a fortress of Middle Ages, remains of which can be shown now-ar days. This fortress was included in the defence system from cape Kaliakra to cape Emona, protected the independence of kingdom of king Dobrotitsa and his heir Ivanko.

Kranevo is attractive not only with his beaches. There is plenty of hotels restaurants and a big shopping street in Kranevo. It is surrounded by its two sites from the famous resorts Albena and Golden sands. Kranevo differs of the other places of the Bulgarian coast with the fact that it is not to overbuild yet.

The closeness to Varna and Balchik give opportunity for easy transfers to airport, railway station, bus station, and also a chance for visiting other tourist destinations.
